Position Overview:
The Maintenance Central Facility Coordinator, under general supervision, provides receptionist, clerical, and administrative support to maintenance central personnel, vendors, fiscal services, and various facilities groups to ensure proper operation. The duties include, but are not limited to, record keeping, telephone operation, receiving & dispatching information, and processing invoices & work tasks.
Job Duties:
- Performs clerical tasks such as typing, filing, scanning, copying, mail distribution, and answering the telephone.
- Provides administrative support and daily communication with the maintenance central supervisors and manager as needed in the day-to-day operation of the sections and department.
- Receives and processes work task requests daily on the County’s computerized facilities management system, distributes and dispatches per supervisor’s instructions using cell phones, office phones, and e-mail on time.
- Communicates with tenants, vendors, and Building Operations Services in response to work requests and scheduling.
- Collects information and prepares purchase order requests and receives reports to submit to the appropriate section for processing.
- Implements and uses all preventive maintenance programs, safety requirements and checklists.
- Occasionally may be required to drive a personal vehicle to various facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
- Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience:
- Four (4) years of general office or clerical work. Advanced education and experience may be substituted for one another.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
- Must have good verbal and written command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and communicate effectively on a routine basis with other departments, contractors, vendors, user tenants, and co-workers.
- Must be proficient in the use of office machines such as a copier, printer, and scanner.
- Must have good computer operation skills, be well-versed in Microsoft Windows and Office.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must maintain a valid Texas Driver’s license.
- Ability to receive CJIS clearance, pass a security check, and a drug test, as required. This position is Safety Sensitive and will be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

General Information:
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
Full-Time | Regular | 40 hours per week.
Subject to early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays at times, depending upon the project or workload.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, based on 26 pay periods.

Environmental Exposure:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time:
- Approximately 90% of duties will be performed indoors in a normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, air conditions, and noise levels.
- Approximately 10% of duties will be performed outdoors, where there will be exposure to heat, cold, moisture, air pollution, wind, and dust.
- Must be willing to work in various weather and working conditions when visiting a field location.
