What you will do for Harris County Precinct 2:
The Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioners Office (HCP2CO) Step-Up Internship Program provides high school seniors and current college students with the opportunity to earn as they learn while serving the citizens of Precinct 2 as well as other areas in Harris County.
The internship program will include problems that are both challenging and complex as well as serve in areas that have a positive impact on the residents, employees, and visitors of Harris County Precinct 2. The internship will run from June 9th, 2025 to August 8th, 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interns will work on assignments and projects provided to them by their supervisor that might encompass, but will not be limited to performing the following:
- Clerical duties
- Answering phones
- Maintaining files
- Working with clients / general public
- Event planning and coordination
- Learning department specific technical skills
- Other duties as needed.

Internship Requirements:
Be 18 years old at the time of application submission
Be a high school senior or currently enrolled in a college/university or in a trade / technical program.
