Logistics and Fleet Technician Position Overview:
The Logistics and Fleet Technician supports the Operations' Logistics section through material and supply transport, driving, vehicle maintenance, and emergency response activities.
The successful candidate must operate as a strong collaborator with a high degree of coordination and flexibility assisting with event needs and collaborating with staff to ensure events are successful.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operates various vehicles to transport materials and supplies throughout Harris County jurisdiction
Maintains accurate records of all transport activities including chain of custody for sensitive materials
Performs routine inspections and maintains service documentation
Ensures compliance with vehicle safety regulations
Ensures proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials
Maintains supply storage areas and coordinates stock rotation
Responds to and supports emergency transport activities

- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- One (1) year experience with operating/driving large vehicles
- At least one (1) year of experience with logistics operations
- Valid Driver's License (Texas upon hire)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficient with operations and inventory systems
- High degree of organizational and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and interact well with others
- Ability to produce work that is highly accurate and demonstrates attention to detail

Ability to drive and operate a variety of vehicles, including lifting over 50 lbs., bending, and standing for periods of time.
