QA/QC Specialist Overview:
Under moderate supervision, the Quality Assurance & Quality Control Specialist will monitor quality assurance and control activities for the eligibility of Disaster Recovery clients and projects. Individuals in this position will be responsible for conducting weekly quality checks, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory guidelines. This role will also perform additional duties related to data entry, reporting, and submissions.
The Quality Assurance & Quality Control Specialist must exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with a strong attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance & Quality Control: Performs weekly quality checks, which include reviewing and ensuring compliance and consistency in documented information; verifying the completeness and accuracy of data submitted; proofing and rejecting inconsistent or duplicate requests.
- Maintains knowledge of program guidelines reference materials from Housing and Urban Development and Texas General Land Office
- Ensures case files meet program guidelines and all applicable government regulations.
- Analysis & Reporting: Reviews and generates weekly reports of activities, analyzing an identifying any inconsistencies.
- Data Entry: Inputs data ensuring information is entered accurately and timely.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience in grants management, quality assurance, or compliance.
- Associate's Degree and one (1) year of experience in grants management, quality assurance, or compliance.
- Valid Driver's License (Texas upon hire)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.
General Information
Position Type, and Typical Hours of Work:
- Full-Time | Grant-funded
- Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- This position is hybrid requiring three days in office.
- Office environment, where the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and filing cabinets is routine.
- The physical demands associated with this job are minimal, with occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- The role is predominantly sedentary, involving mainly sitting with occasional standing and walking.
