Salesperson Job Description:
We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for produce to join our team as a Salesperson. This role involves building relationships, closing deals, and growing sales of our high-quality onions in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand market reach and increase revenue.
- Actively sell onions to food service providers, wholesalers, distributors, and grocery chains.
- Identify new markets and opportunities for onion sales by analyzing market trends and customer needs.
- Coordinate with production and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of onion orders.
- Monitor onion inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Attend trade shows, agricultural expos, and industry events to promote Harris Fresh onions and build brand awareness.
- Provide feedback to management about customer preferences and market trends to guide production planning.
- Work closely with the Food Safety team to assure adherence to food safety policies and verify customer food safety requirements.
- Perform accounting duties such as invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and reconcile inventory.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and other platforms.
- Able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or 10 years of agricultural sales experience.
