Job Description :
L3Harris is seeking to hire a Software Engineer with a desire to develop software applications and participate in the entire software development life cycle. This position will move to the L3Harris Herndon, VA location by approximately July 2025.
Essential Functions :
- Lead / participate in the entire software development life cycle including software design, implementation, code reviews, integration and debugging for new products and existing ones.
- Design and develop software utilizing C, Python, POSIX multi-tasking. Web application, AI / ML a plus.
- Experience debugging Embedded platforms from development through production.
- Experience with Linux and RTOS.
- Unit testing experience for Embedded C using modern technologies.
- DevOps and CI / CD experience.
- Work closely with System and test engineers throughout the software design / development life cycle.
- Document software design and participate in design and code reviews.
- Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends.
- Perform software / hardware integration during software development and unit testing.
- Use inter process communication and multi-threaded programming.

In compliance with the equal pay act, the salary range for this role is $129,500.00 - $240,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
