What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Harris Golf Cars?
Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly payroll using a thirdparty payroll system
- Manage the benefits program and process all enrollments and changes within a timely manner
- Identify ways to increase employee engagement and satisfaction
- Assist and coach supervisors with performance and disciplinary matters
- Process documentation relating to performance evaluations
- Recruit, interview and facilitate the hiring and onboarding of qualified applicants for open positions
- Maintain compliance and complete all necessary reporting throughout the three locations (OSHA, DOT, etc.)
- Review and update the employee handbook and educate employees on policies
- Handle all insurance claims and ensure the process gets completed from start to finish
- Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents, injuries and safety concerns and implement changes if necessary
- Plan and execute company events (holiday party, employee outings, lunch days, etc.)
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in human resource management, business or a related field is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 24 years of experience in human resources
- Knowledge of multistate employment laws preferred
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and work efficiently under pressure
- Experience with HRIS and other HR systems/tools
- Willing to travel to Illinois and Wisconsin at least once a month for office hours
- Drivers license with suitable driving history

Job type: Full-time, nonexempt
Reports to: President and Vice President
Pay Rate: $58,000 - $62,000 based on experience
Expected hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
Benefits: Health insurance with an HSA match, 401k, short/long term disability, $15,000 company paid life insurance policy, and paid time off
