Principal Engineering Leader, Science & Tech, Industrial Manufacturing Building Sector
Harris Group is seeking a visionary and dynamic Principal Engineering Leader with expertise in the science and technology and/or industrial manufacturing/buildings sectors to join our employee-owned engineering firm. As a key leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, fostering client relationships, and delivering innovative engineering solutions to organizations in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, research and development, and advanced manufacturing. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: develop and execute strategies to expand the firms portfolio within the science and technology sectors.
- People Leadership: drive multi-disciplinary teams to engineering success, aligning initiatives with overall business goals and values.
- Client Engagement and Business Development: bring, build and maintain strong
- relationships with new and existing clients.
- Technical Excellence and Mentorship: drive innovation and ensure technical excellence by mentoring team members and promoting best practices.
- Thought Leadership and Market Insights: proactive approach to industry trends, emerging technologies with engagement through white papers, presentations and participation in industry forums.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Structural, Architectural or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Registered Architecture license (RA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering experience, with significant focus on industrial manufacturing buildings and/or science and technology projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion.
- Proven track record of business development and client relationship management.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and employee ownership culture.
- Local presence in our Seattle and Lynnwood, Washington Offices.

Benefits
- Salary Range: $140,000-$190,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
