Harris, Harvey, Neal & Co. LLP, an established local accounting firm with offices in Danville, Chatham, Martinsville, and South Boston Virginia, has an opening for a full-time Client Accounting Services Associate / Bookkeeper in our Danville office.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Client Accounting Services Associate / Bookkeeper is responsible for applying their accounting and technology knowledge and skills to efficiently and accurately perform bookkeeping, payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, and accounting support services for multiple clients of the Firm. The candidate must be proficient in all bookkeeping duties, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and related payroll tax filings.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years public accounting firm or industry bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks expertise required (ProAdvisor Certification considered a plus)
- Sage 50 Accounting software experience preferred
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency required
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with effective attention to detail
- Strong technical knowledge and skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in delivery of quality client service
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
