Job Summary
The language access team leader will assist in leading daily operations for the department. The language access team leader will assist team in the absence of the supervisor, as assigned. Other job functions include compiling department reports, support staffing, cross training and leadership. Acts as lead contact for hospital staff in answering questions, resolving concerns/problems, and patient complaints/issues, etc. Assists in the training of new department employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Degrees: Bachelors preferred
Licenses & Certification: Certified Medical interpreter/Certified Healthcare Interpreter preferred
Work Experience: Two (2) years of experience with Medical interpretation
Communication Skills: Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/ Reports
Language Skills: Spanish
Proficiencies: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
