Job Position Description
Harris Investment Group is seeking an experienced individual to join the finance team at the firm’s headquarters in Provo, Utah. Your role will primarily involve overseeing the finances of real-estate multifamily properties; preparing and monitoring financial reporting, payroll, and numerous other accounting-/finance-related tasks. By leveraging your background in Accounting or a similar field, you will seek to improve and institutionalize the company's accounting and finance processes. This role will report to the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Asset Management.
How will you spend your time?
Harris Investment Group is a boutique investment firm with a small team. While this role may evolve and expand over time, today it will include:
- Review and prepare monthly financial reporting for our portfolio of multifamily apartment assets
- Track and check for trends and anomalies in all of the firm's financials and bank accounts. Screen property financials produced by property managers; help with ensuring financials are being produced in a way that preps for sale/highest NOI
- Manage and execute payroll for onsite staff.
- Oversee expense reimbursement process and provide information to partner tax and accounting firms.
- Oversee property/fund audits and assist in resolving audit related issues
Position Qualifications
- Work experience within Real Estate Property Management as a Senior Accounting, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Hands-on experience with general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Experience with cash management
- Extensive/hands-on knowledge of Quickbooks
- Technology-savvy/Ability to learn new software quickly
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
Position Benefits
- Annual base pay between $90,000-120,000
- Commission and Bonus opportunities
