Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Support patients in mobility and transportation within the facility.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately as per protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, outpatient clinic, or trauma center is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical care, emergency medicine, OR procedures, hospital medicine, or pediatric intensive care (PICU) is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
