Responsible for terminal cleaning and procedural room clean between cases.
Responsible for the major floor cleaning, refinishing and sanitation of the physical environment in the assigned area, meeting performance standards set up for the position.
Responsible for safely transporting patients and equipment within the hospital.
Maintains transport equipment and places supplies in appropriate area.
Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites as requested, including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, monitors and other equipment.
Assists in daily cleaning and disinfections of the procedure rooms and patient cubicles and equipment.
Properly maintains transport and 02 equipment.
Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
Reports equipment problems and supply needs to supervisor and performs minor troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department. Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
Reports to: Cath Lab Manager
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma Or Equivalent Required
Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
Minimum Work ExperienceAbility to move and left heavy persons and equipment.One year previous clinical experience in a smaller environment preferred.Must be eligible for CPR certification.
