Job Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the assigned clinic to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Finances
Oversee outpatient patient schedules and facilitate the filling of openings each day
Manage expenses and budget
Optimize team growth including facilitating marketing
- Culture
Be available for team daily or assign duties to supervisors when unavailable
- Communication
Address behavior or performance problems and use corrective action as needed; assist supervisors with corrective actions
Oversee documentation of team to ensure guidelines are followed-lead peer reviews 2x/year
Assist supervisors as needed to ensure team completes documentation, discharges, authorizations, etc. in timely manner
Communicate with referring physicians/practices or facilitate other staff to do so as needed
Communicate needs of acute care team with outpatient team as needed
Communicate daily with supervisors, team leaders and director regarding staffing issues, problems, meetings
Communicate with schedulers as needed to meet goals of our team
Communicate with Redoc when there are problems, communicate this with outpatient teams
Post important information/processes in Teams
Manage Helpful Insurance Hints as needed

Lead daily IP staff meetings PRN
Co-lead entire rehab team meetings 3-4x/year

Secure additional staff for acute care and FOC (OP when supervisors need help) as needed for PTO, EIB, caseload surges and communicate with supervisors to share or staff as applicable
Continually monitor staffing needs and flex or secure additional staff requisitions when needed
Oversee patient schedule for outpatient team and facilitate the filling of openings each day

Oversee patient schedule for outpatient team and facilitate the filling of openings in conjunction with managing acute care caseload
Keep staff files up to date in Teams
Keep track of attendance and occurrences per policy including communicating occurrences with staff per policy; use corrective action form per policy
Oversee monthly dashboard statistics to hospital while addressing anything under expectations each month with individuals or all staff involved
Oversee biannual or greater documentation peer reviews and communicate with team as needed
Approve charges for accuracy
Approve purchase of supplies
Ensure licenses and certification renewal are up to date and uploaded to Service Now
Review and address denials; communicate themes with team
Communicate with HR and/or Tim regarding absences, FMLA, EIB, behavior and performance issues, need for new positions etc. as needed
Communicate with Tim and supervisors regarding falls, injuries, equipment or space needs, productivity, finances
Oversee written policies for department work flow
Communicate with new staff prior to start
Orient new employees and follow up regularly for 90 days. Complete department specific checklist, overall department and building orientation, 90 day form, department orientation, competency forms
Create schedules for new staff to ensure orientation with other staff including supervisor, schedule is filled and appropriate for skill level of new employee
Keep staff files up to date in Teams
Hand hygiene-60/month
Attend hospital required meetings (observation, stroke, falls, PSCQC, safety huddle, director's meeting, clean sweep, etc)
Conduct daily briefs, huddles, debriefs as needed
Conduct annual performance assessments
Review monthly MOR, share with team, learn for improvement
Communicate with administration as needed
Recognize and reward staff for excellence in behavior and performance, for birthdays and other milestones
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: Master's degree required. Doctoral degree preferred.
Licenses: Physical Therapy License in North Carolina
Experience: 3 years experience in the field preferred with 1 year in a leadership role desired.
Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
