A recognized supplier and manufacturer for the food industry is looking for a Full - Time IT Network and Support Technician in Orange County, CA.
This role will report to the head of IT and will be responsible for supporting day-to-day business operations by providing on-site technical assistance with software and hardware systems aligned with the internal service level agreements.
To be successful in this role, you should be well versed in all aspects of configuration, set up, and maintenance of windows systems and network appliances and software used in mid to large sized organizations. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn will get you on the right path for being successful and thriving in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide daily technical and application support to all users (Email, Office 365 products, Internet, Printing, safety…)
- Determine and resolve laptop and desktop pc issues, maintain and monitor workstations, windows servers and networks to identify and rectify issues pro-actively.
- Install and maintain security systems (cameras, access control systems, alarms etc…)
- Work on a support mechanism to ensure smooth and effective trouble shooting mechanism in a distributed multi-tier platforms in a 24/7 production environment.
- Utilize and enforce use of helpdesk application, Network monitoring, Asset management tools.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.
- 3 years hardware and software experience with Windows desktops and laptops.
- 3 years on Windows Server 2022 and earlier versions
- 2 years LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN
- 3 years user support, remote support, office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
- 2 years’ experience with configuring and managing Switches, Routers and Firewalls (Ubiquiti and Meraki)
- Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policies, File and Print, Services, IP Networking, IIS, SQL Server management, .
Specific skills.
- Experience with Dell Laptops and Servers
- VMWare vSphere ESXi, vCenter
- Hyper-V
- Comodo Endpoint Management
- ITIL Methodology, Jira Helpdesk and Remote access systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with IT technicians/specialists and non-IT personnel are essential
- Open to learn and explore new applications, systems and technologies
