Blender

In this position you will blend raw materials (teas, herbs, flavors) to create production blends according to blend specifications, operate blending machines, operate the herbal sanitizer, ensure lot integrity, and periodic cycle counts as well as year-end inventory.

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for all activities related to receiving and blending raw tea to supply to production.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Major Duties & Responsibilities for this position include:

· 2 years of forklift experience, pallet jack and hoist to successfully run the bag slitting equipment to blend and process tea for the production lines.

· Checks and completes tea blend paperwork to verify the accuracy of each component.

· Repairs and tapes damaged bags of tea.

· Manually dumps tea as needed.

· · Verifies correct blend is placed in the right location for each line.

· Completes rework activity as needed.

· Assists in other areas of Blending, Warehouse or Production as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Minimum High School Education or GED 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment.

· Must be organized and detail-oriented and be flexible to adjust to daily production needs and changes.

· Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

Alternately works in the blending department and/or tea receiving warehouse. Job requires daily use of personal protective equipment including company uniforms, hearing and eye protection. Must be able to tolerate noise associated with production equipment and changing weather conditions (heat/cold/humidity).

Physical Requirements:

Job requires the ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours/day in order to monitor production. Moderate lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.60 per hour
