Summary: Manages Total Rewards and HR Systems for the organization to attract and retain talent, and ensure organization compliance by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Directly responsible for the $200 million-dollar total rewards budget (benefits, compensation, wellness, HR Systems)

Liaison between Human Resources and all other key business functions including Store Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Legal, Real Estate, etc.

Responsible for total company strategic direction and execution as it relates to Total Rewards, Corporate Staffing, and HR Systems and Analytics

Oversees the Human Resources Service Center and ensures associates are consistently providing service excellence to all internal customers

Responsible for contract negotiations and vendor relationships for the total company as it relates to Total Rewards, Corporate Staffing, and HR systems

Responsible for the completion of all company projects, as it relates to any associate data, including all current system updates and any new systems implemented

Ensures data integrity and compliance for total company and all 35,000 associates

Responsible for all Total Rewards compliance (DOL audits, ACA, notice requirements, 5500 completions, new legislation etc.)

Manages and designs the associate facing portal.

Responsible for relocation for the total organization; determines strategy and policy and oversees the execution

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university or ten years related progressive total rewards, human resources and/or training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, and interpret documents such as contracts, plan documents, periodicals, reports, technical procedures and legal briefings. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Payroll systems; Internet software, Human Resource systems and report writing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 7 associates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems and reporting department and function - related activity on a regular basis.
