POSITION: Floating Teacher 25/26 SY
JOB SUMMARY: The Floating Teacher is responsible for providing student instruction across multiple classrooms without the assigned teacher of record. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage various classroom environments while ensuring continuity in student learning. The Floating Teacher will perform all duties of a licensed classroom teacher as needed, including classroom management, lesson delivery, and maintaining a structured learning environment under the guidance of school administration. This position offers an excellent opportunity for educators who thrive in dynamic settings, enjoy collaborating with different teams, and appreciate working with students across various grade levels. Floating teachers can move laterally into a more specific subject/grade opening if qualifications warrant such a move.
SALARY RANGE: $44,038 to $84,954 a year- Full time
Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience and will follow District policy GCBA.
BENEFITS: Employer-paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental, and vision premiums, employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Two (2) days of personal leave, ten (10) days of sick leave, seven (7) paid holidays, and a generous PERS retirement contribution (if applicable) for a full-time position. Harrisburg operates on a 4-day school week, M-TH.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Oregon Teacher’s License with appropriate endorsement and authorization level required.
