POSITION: Mental Health Therapist (School Based) 2025-2026 SY
Harrisburg School District is seeking to hire a licensed mental health therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) for in-person, on-site mental health services. This model is unique, providing mental health services for children and adolescents directly within a school building to reduce barriers such as cost, transportation, and concerns around confidentiality that often keep children and youth from seeking the mental health services they need. This embedded position encourages community collaboration to increase client care and improve outcomes.
JOB SUMMARY: This position is on-site with Harrisburg School District and will collaborate with the school counselors and administrators. The qualified candidate will provide mental health treatment, including consultation, assessment, and ongoing treatment to K-12 students and their families. The Harrisburg School District operates on a 4-day school work, M-Th.
SALARY RANGE: $44,038- $86,354
Placement on the salary schedule will be competitive and commensurate with education,
experience, and work schedule. District policy GCBA will be implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, behavioral science, or related field.
Licensed Therapist with Oregon Licensing Board - Must have an active license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) and be in good standing with your respective board (Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, Oregon Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers).

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

- Meet all standards and expectations of the professional licensure board.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provide individual and family therapy to district students and families
- Conduct groups and/or skill-building opportunities
- Provide crisis intervention and response (Including suicide screening, assessment, and safety planning)
- Offer support and assistance, as needed, in crisis situations in schools
- Coordinate behavioral/mental health consultation and care coordination with school counselors
- Provide case management, resource and referral, and advocacy services
- Participate in meetings, committees, trainings, workgroups, and conferences as appropriate
- Apply mental health insurance billing systems and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
