The Student Systems Specialist is responsible for internal and annual reporting (NSC, ACT 48, certifications) and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. This role focuses on data reporting, data maintenance, data analysis, report writing, and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of student data management. The Specialist will work closely with the Registrar Systems Analyst and various departments to ensure the integrity and accessibility of student data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Internal and annual reporting (NSC, ACT 48, certifications), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to users of student information systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Develop and maintain reports to meet the needs of various departments.
- Analyze student data to identify trends and patterns.
- Design and implement automated processes to improve efficiency.
- Maintain data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure system compatibility and integration.
- Train users in student information systems and new systems and features.
- Stay current on technology trends and best practices in student data management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent and relevant work experience).
- Experience working with student information systems (i.e., Jenzabar is preferred).
- Strong understanding of database management and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
