Job DescriptionGrowing Milwaukee firm looking to add a talented Lighting Designer / Engineer to their team!We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Lighting Designer / Engineer role for a growing Milwaukee client!
Lighting Design is an integral part of the project's overall finished appearance and success.-The successful candidate will have an evident passion for light as the design medium and be comfortable working in a fast paced project environment on multiple concurrent projects.- Strength in aesthetic conviction but maintaining flexibility to work within design constraints is important.Job Responsibilities include :
- Assist in the management of project design and documentation
- Work with engineer and interiors design teams to develop the appropriate lighting design.
- Perform illumination and energy calculations.
- Oversee layout documentation, create luminaire schedules and cut sheets.
- Write project lighting specifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate lighting equipment.
- Perform construction administration duties including submittal reviews, lighting punch lists and aiming and adjusting installed luminaires.Training and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S) in Lighting Design, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3 or more years of experience in lighting design.
- Computer skills : AGI32 or Visual, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, Revit and Photoshop rendering experience is desirable.
