Construction Superintendent – Commercial Painting

We’re looking for a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee our projects and ensure they run smoothly from start to finish.

What You'll Do:

As our Construction Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader coordinating all aspects of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Timely Documentation: Approve timesheets by 8:00 AM Monday and submit approved subcontractor invoices to the accounting department by 8:30 AM Monday.
  2. Job Documentation: Complete necessary job documentation, including sign-off and quality sheets, upon job completion.
  3. Material Management: Order materials promptly to avoid delays and ensure zero wasted time on-site.
  4. Pre-Planning: Provide detailed instructions and job directions to foremen prior to each workday.
  5. Daily Reporting: Initiate daily status reports to your supervisor and maintain proactive communication with customers.
  6. Safety Oversight: Approve safety reports filled out by foremen and ensure jobsite safety.
  7. Documentation Handling: Submit initial paperwork and updates for new hires to the office.
  8. Progress Measurement: Measure job progress weekly and visit job sites as needed.
  9. Punch Lists: Conduct final walkthroughs and punch lists on the day of job completion.
  10. Team Building: Foster a positive work environment and build cohesiveness within your crew.
  11. Warehouse Organization: Organize the warehouse, assign tools and equipment, and track their locations.
  12. Vendor Coordination: Understand and utilize company purchasing processes for vendors like Home Depot and Sherwin Williams.
  13. Schedule Confirmation: Contact crews daily to confirm schedules and set daily goals.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven ability to organize work schedules, resolve disputes, and communicate effectively.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: High school diploma required; certification is a plus.
