Position Description
The Consultant is responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring the needs and expectations of a book of business are met or exceeded. With support from the Client Support Specialist, this position will execute the delivery of strategic health and welfare initiatives and oversee the management of all benefit programs brokered by the organization. This role requires strategic handling of all accounts.
The Employee Benefits division operates in a collaborative, team-based environment. The Consultant directs the teamwhich includes the Client Support Specialist, Financial Consultant, and Data Analystin executing and delivering all strategic plan initiatives. This position supports a book of business consisting of large employer accounts (100 employees) with revenue ranging from $500K to $1M . The Consultant is also expected to engage in prospecting activities and may be assigned a sales quota.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and manage client strategic plans and initiatives, including health and welfare planning, health management, data analytics, and voluntary programs.
- Proactively and effectively manage the renewal process for client accounts.
- Lead vendor procurement, negotiation, and optimization.
- Expand the existing book of business by adding new lines of coverage, participating in new business opportunities, and developing relationships with prospects.
- Provide thought leadership and share expertise on new employee benefits and human resources tools, approaches, and solutions.
- Continuously expand knowledge of benefit plans and regulatory compliance through education, research, and formal continuing education programs.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
