Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a premiere design, fabrication, and management firm in Chicago to help them find a Project Manager.
This is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in all aspects of retail, commercial, restaurant, and hospitality custom fabrication management. We are looking for talented, hard-working team players with creative sensibilities to help with unique challenges, and varied assignments, and assist in managing a wide range of exciting production projects. We are looking for a person who can dive right in with a valuable skill set and provide project management support. You will assist in all phases of the production process : estimating, procurement, fabrication, finishing, packing, delivery, installation, and punch list completion.
Their Project Managers are creative, dedicated members of their team who are comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the workday. As a contributing member to all stages of the management process, being a detail-oriented, organized individual will make sure you thrive in their fast-paced environment. Being a self-starter, having a willingness to take the bull by the proverbial horns, and thinking outside the box are pluses when it comes to our group.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in all aspects of the production process to ensure project goals are achieved, maintaining the project schedule and budget
- Coordinate with team members at all levels internally and externally persons, such as clients & vendors, to ensure full coordination of production jobs
- Assist with project documentation, including project plans, budgets, and resource schedules
- Monitor on-going work in the wood and metal shops and create clear reports back to PMs
- Work with project managers to understand product requirements and fabrication techniques
- Track inbound materials and coordinate their distribution between shops
- Support project managers in the resolution of issues and conflicts
- Assists with purchasing, coordination with vendors, and quality control
- Attend on-site meetings and assist with field measurements
- Attend project meetings and take minutes as needed
- Professionally represent our client with other clients, GCs, and others as required virtually and in person
