The Director will help to manage complex client relationships by working closely with various internal teams, including service, investment research, and advisory professionals. This role requires extensive wealth management experience, the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service with meticulous attention to detail.
The Director will play a key role in client-facing support, facilitating daily needs for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Responsibilities include overseeing asset transfers, tax and estate planning administration, portfolio management, and account maintenance. This position also involves managing private fund subscriptions and assisting with overall family office operations, including lifestyle management. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership and team members to ensure seamless execution of service requests, investment implementation, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive financial, tax, retirement, and estate planning guidance.
- Consult on strategic asset allocation, portfolio design, performance monitoring, and investment structuring.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients, ensuring proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with internal teams to oversee client portfolios, trading, account administration, and reporting.
- Lead efforts in portfolio rebalancing, working closely with investment and research teams to implement strategies.
- Assist with client meeting preparation, including materials, reports, and follow-up documentation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Manage tax reporting efforts, cost basis tracking, and liquidity planning for client portfolios.
- Oversee new client onboarding, including portfolio construction, asset management coordination, and investment policy documentation.
- Ensure compliance with investment guidelines and reporting requirements, utilizing financial technology platforms for performance tracking and client reporting.
- Support internal management initiatives, participating in leadership meetings and firm-wide strategic projects.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in wealth management, estate planning, or tax planning.
- Strong ability to multi-task, manage complex projects, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to client service.
- Advanced proficiency in financial technology platforms, CRM systems, and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees and certifications (CFP, MBA, CFA, CPA, JD, etc.) preferred.
- Flexibility to occasionally work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet client deadlines.
