This role supports a fast-paced wealth management environment, focusing on operational functions that ensure smooth client onboarding, cash movement, account servicing, and trade execution. The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to supporting advisors and enhancing the client experience.
Position Overview:
- Open and maintain client accounts across custodial platforms and with external asset managers
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, custodians, and third-party investment managers
- Handle client-initiated transactions, including wires, deposits, and account transfers
- Process routine service requests in coordination with advisors and client needs
- Maintain and update portfolio accounting systems, including trade execution and account reconciliation
- Submit mutual fund and equity trades
- Ensure all records and documentation are maintained in line with regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows and enhance advisor support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of experience in investment operations, ideally within a registered investment advisor or similar wealth management setting
- Bachelor’s degree required
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel in a financial context
- Familiarity with financial platforms such as Salesforce, Tamarac (Reporting & Trading), or Portfolio Center is a plus
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Service-minded attitude with a collaborative spirit
- Series 65 license preferred, though not required
