Job Summary
The Harrison Group is a 3rd generation family business with a rich history of providing exceptional hospitality services. Our portfolio consists of over fifteen hotels and seven restaurants spanning across various locations in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and stock food items and necessary supplies
- Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- Cook food items using grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements
- Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of each shift
- Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs
Requirements
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Ability to work as a team member
- Follows directions and instructions
- Ability to produce an excellent culinary and restaurant experience for patrons
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
- Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
- Familiar with industry best practices
