Assistant HR Director
Position Title: Assistant HR Director
Location: Bethlehem, GA
Employment Type: Full Time/Salary
Position Summary:
The Assistant HR Director will play a vital role in supporting the HR Director by leading payroll and benefits functions while assisting in all aspects of HR operations. This position will primarily focus on projects related to compliance and development. The Assistant HR Director will also assist with talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary actions, employee events, and community engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Assist in administrative tasks, policy updates, and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to streamline HR processes and enhance department efficiency.
- Act as a key advisor and second-in-command to the HR Director, stepping in to manage HR operations when needed.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to HR team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Partner with cross-functional departments, including Operations, IT, and Finance, to address company-wide needs.
- HR Projects & Compliance
- Oversee all major HR projects as they arise.
- Assist each HR team member with their compliance reporting as needed (Talent, Benefits, Profit sharing, etc.)
- Manage all compliance needs and reporting.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding efforts.
- Assist in planning and executing new hire orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Employee Relations & Disciplinary Actions:
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support supervisors in addressing performance and disciplinary concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws in all employee relations activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, including leadership roles and exposure to payroll and benefits.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, payroll systems (ADP preferred), and benefits administration.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- The role is primarily office-based with occasional visits to production facilities. Flexibility to address HR needs for all shifts, including evenings and weekends, is required.
