Position Summary:
Harrison Poultry is a leader in the poultry processing industry, dedicated to quality, innovation, and excellence. Our workforce is the heart of our success, and we are seeking a Bilingual Night Shift HR Coordinator to support our overnight operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring HR compliance, providing employee support, and driving HR initiatives during the night shift. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for night shift employees, addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring workplace issues are handled in alignment with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Monitor employee attendance, administer points-based attendance policies, and ensure accurate payroll submissions.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for night shift employees, including training on policies, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in staffing efforts by conducting initial screenings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment activities.
- Support supervisors in handling performance issues, issuing corrective actions, and documenting performance concerns.
- Guide employees through the leave of absence process, ensuring compliance with FMLA and other applicable regulations while maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, including timekeeping, attendance, and disciplinary records.
- Partner with the safety team to promote a safe and healthy work environment, reporting incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Bilingual in Spanish (read, write, and speak fluently).
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to work the night shift schedule: 1:00 AM - 10:00 AM, Monday-Friday (Sunday evening - Friday morning).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work will be performed in an office setting within the poultry processing plant.
- Requires periodic visits to the production floor to engage with employees, conduct investigations, and support workplace initiatives.
- Exposure to cold, wet, and noisy conditions may be required when entering the plant.
