What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Revenue Accountant position at Harrison Richard Group?
We are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant. This is a contract to hire position!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure financial statements are accurate in compliance with GAAP, ASC 606 and ASC 340.
- Take the lead on month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations and account analyses to identify any discrepancies.
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure that revenue recognition for the subscription-based contracts is handled accurately.
- Assist in enhancing and automating financial processes, including improvements related to revenue recognition, billing, and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze key SaaS metrics and customer lifetime value.
- Research and apply complex accounting guidance, preparing accounting memos for new transactions, and ensuring internal accounting policies and procedures are up to date
- Support external audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 5 years of accounting experience, including experience within a SaaS or technology environment required.
- Knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and subscription-based revenue models.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Compensation: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
