Harrison's is seeking a qualified full-time Seamstress/Retail Associate in our Columbia location.
A qualified candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the following:
Skills:
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong sewing skills and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Proficient with commercial sewing machines, Blindstitch Machine, and a Serger
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines
Duties:
- Hemming Pants
- Sewing Patches onto garments to include shirts, jackets, hats, etc.
- Add braid to garments
- Be able to perform Fittings
- Tailor Shirts, Pants, Dress Coats as requested
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of clothing and fabrics
- Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to customer specifications
- Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools and equipment to complete tasks
- Ensure quality and accuracy of finished products
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
Having a knowledge of military or law enforcement uniforms is a plus.

Retail Associate duties during times with no seamstress duties may include reciecing inveotry, merchandising inventory, folding/straightening up items, and light cleaning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
