What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Studies Teacher/Coach - Harrison High School position at Harrison School District?
Harrison School District is accepting applications for a Social Studies Teacher/Coach position for the 2025-2026 school year. Available coaching positions include JH Football/DC, JH Football, JR Boys Bball, Tennis, and Assistant Track. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position for grades 9-12. Applicants must hold the appropriate Arkansas DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
Harrison School District is seeking an individual who will:
● Job Requirements: (Include, but not limited to)
o Arkansas Teaching License in Social Studies
o Arkansas Qualified Teacher Status
o Knowledge of effective instruction and disaggregation of data
o Appropriate classroom management skills
o Effective engagement of students in the classroom
o Proficient integration of technology in the classroom
o Display excellent people skills
o AP training and experience preferred
o Willingness to engage in collaboration and the PLC process
o Effectively use LMS and digital resources (CANVAS)
o Attain or possess Google Level One Certification
o Willingness to attain a CDL
