Job Role: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
CNAs at our community assist residents with activities of daily living, transferring, transporting, and repositioning. If you're customer service driven and enjoy seeing rewards from your hard work and dedication, we invite you to apply for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, preparation for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care, and positioning in and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
- Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor, including perineal care, catheter care, changing dressings, turning residents in bed, sponge baths, measuring and recording temperature, pulse, and respirations, weighing and measuring residents, performing restorative and rehabilitative procedures, observing and reporting skin breakdowns, reviewing care plans daily, reporting changes in resident conditions to supervisor, and recording necessary charting entries.
- Prepare residents for meals and snacks, identify food arrangements, assist in feeding residents as needed, record food and fluid intake, and perform after-meal resident care.
- Maintain resident confidentiality, treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, follow Residents' rights rules, and promptly report resident complaints, accidents, and incidents to supervisor.
- Assist in proper admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, inventory resident possessions, report food articles and medications found in resident rooms, and report defective equipment to administration.
- Understand and use Universal Precautions, follow established infection control, hazardous communication, and other safety rules, ensure cleanliness of assigned resident's rooms, properly maintain and record resident restraints, and promptly report violations of safety and sanitation rules to supervisor.
Requirements:
- Possess and maintain a Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Personal Care or Long Term Care environment, strongly preferred.
- Must be able to move, lift, and position patients.
- CPR Certified a plus.
