What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security and Janitorial Manager position at Harrison Steel Castings Co.?
Harrison Steel has an opening for a Security and Janitorial Manager, to oversee the main gate, security patrols and janitorial functions within our plant. With more than 700,000 square feet under roof and up to 450 employees within our facility, this position is responsible for helping to ensure the safety of the facility and every employee.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direct supervision, training, direction, coordination, and evaluation of janitorial and security personnel
- Manage, maintain, purchase, research, and recommend supplies and products for the applicable areas
- 24/7 availability needed as the head of security
- Valid state issued driver's license required
- Must be able to pass a background check
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED is required; and at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and create documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and government and industry publications.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) is preferred.
- Strong common sense, problem solving ability, people skills and communication skills are all very important.
Work Environment:
The employee occasionally is exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is regularly required to work to perform the duties of the job. The usual noise level is usually moderate.
