Job Summary
The Pharmacist will work to align with department and company goals to grow our pharmacy department. The candidate we seek will be able to maintain ethical judgement and clinical superiority while working in an environment that is evolving rapidly. Furthermore, this person will have demonstrated the ability to build and maintain relationships, trust, and respect with clients and peers. Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist-In-Charge, this position will be responsible for prescriptions received by the pharmacy as well as maintain appropriate records for medications ordered by qualified prescribers, receive written prescriptions or refill requests, verify all information is complete and accurate. This position will also be responsible for providing counseling to patients. Prescription verification for both manufactured products and compounded medications. This position requires the education and ability to identify drug-drug, drug-food, and drug-ingredient interactions and knowledge of the regulations for both retail and compounding pharmaceuticals.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise, Compound, Prepare, and dispense compounded medication in compliance with state laws and Pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Daily management of prescription processes including patient consultations, review allergies, contraindication resolution, and physician consultations, and resolves any other clinical needs daily.
- Work with the PIC to drive ImprimisRx NJ’s ability and scope to reflect corporate needs.
- Checks the accurateness and appropriateness of all medications dispensed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Supervise, teach and assist Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
- Provide and ensure highest level of customer service to patients and physicians
- Counsel and instruct patients, doctors, and nurses on use of medication, therapy and specific details of the compounded medication
- Preparing prescriptions by typing and affixing labels
- Assists in maintaining an acceptable level of inventory of medications and pharmaceutical supplies under proper conditions of storage and security.
- Use specialized compounding equipment to weigh, and record chemicals included in a formula and then combine those chemicals into the appropriate dosage and form as requested by the prescription.
- Calibration and proper documentation of compounding equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for preparation of compounds
- Monitor daily recording of refrigerator, freezer, incubator, drug storage area, and controlled area temperature and humidity.
- Monitor inventory levels, pull outdated/recalled merchandise
- Facilitate team environment to ensure the company meets and exceeds daily order and company-wide goal
- Ability to procure licenses in the states with support from the PIC in alignment with the site and company goals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the company's commitment to HIPPA and other ethical business
- Assist in maintaining the database for licensing requirements to include licensure type, licensing agency, renewal dates, and responsible
- Communicate with the management team to identify the types of licensing required at each location, including Pharmacy, Pharmacist, DEA, and others as
- Understand the Pharmaceutical Industry's Code of
- Ensure compliance with medication management standards and state and federal drug laws regulated by the state board of pharmacy, FDA and the DEA.
- Comply with all state & federal-specific legislation and regulatory
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Collaborate with Management Team on employee relation issues to resolve workplace
- Maintains a level of professional competency and remains current in the field of pharmacy.

- Must have an open, clean, and active Pharmacist license. Must be able to acquire pharmaceutical licenses out of state, as
- Requires a PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Strong computer skills in database management and documentation preparation (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office) are
