Position Overview
Leads the activities of product costing, manufacturing analysis and inventory valuation. Develops and maintains standard costs in a manufacturing process costing platform. Apply principles of cost accounting in comparing actual cost to estimates and analyze variances. Provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. Provide monthly material usage variances. Prepare month end reports and analysis. Provide accounting technical support in an integrated Oracle Fusion environment. Assist in testing/implementation of automation and enhancements in Oracle applications. Perform other duties as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities related to manufacturing accounting.
- Support the Company’s cost and manufacturing accounting system; assist in developing standard costs and update annually or as appropriate.
- Audit, research and assist in closing work orders, posting all variances to the P&L.
- Assist in improving processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
- Assist in analyzing inventory valuations and determine the need for reserves.
- Assist in analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports, comparing standard costs to actual costs.
- Assist in the development of strong controls that facilitate accurate perpetual inventory amounts.
- Record cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program.
- Assist in the reconciliation of quarterly physical inventory counts.

- Minimum of 2 solid years of Accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Must have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
- Good communication skills; presents numerical data effectively.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, with strong attention to detail.
Computer Skills
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite;
- ERP system (Oracle Fusion, Netsuite, Dynamics, or related) experience preferred.
