The EHSS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations at the facilities. This role involves performing safety audits, assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implementing corrective actions as needed. The EHSS Supervisor provides both direct and indirect leadership in conducting investigations, risk analysis, root cause analysis, and implementing health and safety processes and procedures. The EHSS Supervisor must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address safety issues and implement effective solutions. They must possess deep understanding of safety regulations and practices. The EHSS Supervisor must be meticulous in identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of experience as Safety Officer or Safety Specialist Required.
- OSHA 10 & 30, with any advance level certifications in Occupational Health & Safety.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or high school diploma or GED with specific safety training. College-level safety training preferred.
- 3-5 years demonstrated on-the-job experience in Employee Health and Safety, preferably in a manufacturing & warehouse environment.
- 1-2 years in a leadership or equivalent role preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and critical thinking skills required.
- Must be willing to work in a collaborative manner with other members of the Employee Health, Safety, and Safety team and employees throughout the organization, sharing information freely and contributing to team success; Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals while working in a low supervision environment.
- Knowledge and experience with federal and state local government health and safety regulations, including OSHA, NIOSH, and Oregon AG, and other regulatory regulations.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products; demonstrated experience designing and using Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
- An elevated level of energy and friendly approach to people strongly desired.
- A demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize required.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is preferred.
