Culinary Assistant Needed at Harry Meyering Center, Inc.
We are seeking a skilled Culinary Assistant to join our team at Harry Meyering Center, Inc. As a Culinary Assistant, you will assist in preparing meals for our clients and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
About the Job:
This is a part-time position, typically working Tuesday/Wednesday 10 am—6 pm, Thursday/Friday 5:30 am-1:30 pm, and E/O weekend 5:30 am- 1:30 pm. You will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing meals according to the scheduled menu and the needs of individuals served by HMC.
- Maintains kitchen cleanliness, supporting team-oriented work environments, and providing safe working environments.
- Delivers groceries and picks up supplies in all types of weather.
- Maintains HIPAA Compliance in all written or verbal communications, both external and internal to HMC.
- Folllows all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 and have a high school diploma or general education degree.
- Prior experience or training is not required but preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with co-workers.
- Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills.
- The candidate must have a basic knowledge of technology programs, such as Microsoft Office products. The candidate must also be able to use and/or be willing to learn technology for daily charting.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
- Be a team player who can work independently and carry out job duties as assigned.
- Must pass an MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
