Position Summary:
Assists the Ballroom Manager with the complete coordination of service to all ballroom and off-premise events in accordance with Harry’s established standards to ensure successful execution. Exceeds the guest’s expectations and Harry’s expectations of high quality of service and continuously improving that quality of service. Assists in training and supervising all ballroom/event related personnel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Some post-secondary hospitality–related training is preferred.
Experience:
Ballroom, off-premise and/or restaurant experience required. Experience in various phases of ballroom and event operation preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must posses a general knowledge of food & beverage and computers. Must be guest focused and service oriented.
Certification:
Must be able to obtain and maintain Delaware Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission Certification.
Skills:
Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of work location.
Physical:
Must have the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 40 pounds frequently.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to eight hours in length.
All positions must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
