Harsha Behavioral Center is currently hiring an Inventory Specialist/MHT for the following hours: Sunday-Thursday10am-6pm flexible
Base Pay: $17.00 an hour
Evening shift differential: $0.50/hour. Weekend shift differential: $1.00/ hour days & $1.50 evening.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Respond to incoming admissions to begin inventory process.
· Understands which items are allowed and which are prohibited.
· Drying all patient inventory in the high heat dryer or hot box . Cleaning the dryer per infection control guidelines.
· Sort through all patient items and put into TIER.
· Assesses inventory dropped off, sending back items not needed or over the limit.
· Assists admissions department with check for contraband, skin assessments, ect
· Keep med supply rooms and admissions supply clothes clean and all patient items put away properly and timely. Assess expiration dates on items. Notify ADON and Director of Admissions when supplies are needed for inventory.
· Maintain cleanliness of inventory room.
· During discharges, print off inventory list from patient chart and ensure all items are counted for.
· Back up as MHT when needed and/or admissions if requested.
· Communicates appropriately and clearly to the CNO, RNs and physicians.
· Treats patients, their families and referral sources with respect and dignity, provides emotional support.
· Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
· Answers the telephone in a professional manner, directs calls appropriately, and takes messages.
· Operates equipment safety and correctly.
· Responsible for nightly visitation. (supervision of patients, getting families to and from the designated areas, ect)
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Training Required:
· High school graduate or equivalent
Skills:
· Basic computer knowledge
· Excellent interpersonal skills
