Environmental Scientist
Permitting Focused
Harshman CE Group is seeking the right people to assist with environmental permitting within our Civil Engineering Group. Harshman CE Group works with private and public sector clients to take their needs from an idea to a reality. Nearly every project we work on requires navigating the regulatory requirements of Local, State, and Federal Agencies. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to apply their environmental background to aid in permitting efforts and help offer our clients environmentally friendly solutions for their permitting needs. Field opportunities can be periodically available if the applicant so desired; however, this position is ideal for someone with a desire for primarily office/home based work.
Typical Activities:
· Work with engineering design staff and project leads to identify permitting requirements
· Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation
· Work with local and state agencies to address review comments
· Evaluate wetland delineation reports, soil reports, PNDI reports, and other environmental reports and their impacts on site design and permitting.
Desired Experience: 3 -10 years experience
Experience with one or more:
· Chapter 105 Permitting
· Chapter 102 Permitting
· MS4 Permitting
· Other NPDES Permitting
Bonus for specific experience in:
· Wetland Delineations
· Stream Delineations
· Wetland Functions and Values
· ESRI ArcGIS Software
· Other Permitting
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Schedule: Monday – Friday Flexible hours available upon request.
Remote Policy: Partial Remote Work Available to start with additional remote work to be considered periodically.
Pay: $45,000-$65,000 per year.
Salary and benefits are commensurate upon the qualifications of the candidate, with excellent vacation, healthcare, and retirement packages available.
