The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a consulting or manufacturing environment. Exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role, where thriving under tight deadlines and a proactive approach to learning are key ingredients for success.
Key responsibilities include preparing engineering documentation, performing engineering calculations, and assisting clients with commissioning and start-up activities. You will also communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate procurement services and schedules.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will mentor and develop junior Process Engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance in their careers.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Process Engineering Lead
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams for a wide variety of projects
- Interface with clients and perform on-site investigations to define project requirements
- Prepare engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, material and energy balances, Lists and equipment specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations in support of design objectives
- Assist clients with commissioning and start-up activities
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate procurement services and schedules.
- Mentor and develop junior Process Engineers, helping them grow their skills and advance in their careers.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consulting or Biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment
