Summary/Objective

The Kitting Specialist facilitates the movement of materials for manufacturing and assembly of the final product. This includes verifying the quantity and quality, overseeing the timely kitting of materials needed for assembly requirements.

Essential Functions

Manages all aspects of the kitting process for HART projects. This involves monitoring items that have been received from suppliers, and/or approved through the quality assurance process and placing them into the project kits carts located throughout the production floor and expediting delinquent parts as needed.

Confer with company leadership, assembly, fabrication, and engineering professionals to identify, discuss, document and resolve tasks and issues. Other responsibilities may include: Shipping & Receiving, Loading & Unloading various shipments as needed, deliveries and pickups, and other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

While performing duties of this job in an office setting, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, multiline telephone system, copy/scan/fax machines, MS office suite, Total ETO software.

Physical Demands

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is often required to walk, reach with hands and arms and is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 points and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The position also requires sitting in and upright position using a computer, keyboard and mouse for extended periods.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time hourly position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday approximately 7 am to 3 pm. Position requires occasional overtime. weekend hours could be required on (rare) occasion. No travel required.

Required Education and Experience

Highschool diploma or GED. 2-4 Years experience in kitting, inventory, warehouse or shop environment.
