We are hiring two PART-TIME positions.
Hart’s Ambulette is responsible for providing comfortable, kind, and safe non-emergency medical transportation for individuals in wheelchairs. We safely operate and maintain a fleet of modern wheelchair lift-equipped vans that comply with all Ohio Division of Emergency Medical Services regulations. Our ambulette drivers add meaningful value to our clients’ well-being and to the broader community.
Duties include, but are not limited to, non-medical transport of individuals with physical disabilities to and from appointments. Ambulette drivers must frequently maneuver, load and otherwise move clients and/or equipment weighing up to 300 pounds in a non-motorized wheelchair.
Position Requirements
- Safely operate and maintain an ambulette in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Professionally communicate with our patient clients, facility staff, family members, medical personnel, and the general public
- Complete daily and weekly vehicle inspections to ensure your ambulette is in safe operable condition
- Clean the inside and outside of the ambulette weekly to present a tidy and professional appearance to patients, customers, and the community
Preferred Education & Experience
- Working with the elderly and users of wheelchairs
- Driving in a professional environment
Position Requirements
- Familiar with the broader Fremont, OH area and proficient in the use of GPS devices
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
