Full Time, Monday - Friday and some on-call

Up to $72,000 plus bonus for survey and budget goals

Hartford-area skilled nursing facility seeking a Physical Plant Manager for directing plant preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as housekeeping and laundry services . The candidate will be efficient, organized, and have hands-on maintenance experience and skill.   He / she will have a proven record in preventative maintenance, vendor management and employee supervision.   He / she will have strong understanding of nursing home physical plan and fire-safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Preventative Maintenance Program – both in house and through outside vendors
• Directs maintenance staff and performs hands-on work
• Directs and supervises housekeeping and laundry staff
• Maintains systems that assure a clean building
• Coordinates facility plant projects
• Identifies continuous process improvements and cost containment opportunities

Minimum Qualifications :

3 years of experience in skilled nursing facility maintenance department.

Experience in supervision preferred.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong efficiency for self and staff.

Strong communication skills.

Good understanding of technology.
