Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation and a keen eye for detail. The Pastry Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely execution of products while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of GF pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes / created recipes
- Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are strictly followed.
- Collaborate with the head chef / team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal menus.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and various baking tools.
- Keep the pastry station clean and organized, adhering to health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all pastries meet quality standards before serving.
- Assist in catering events as needed, preparing large quantities of desserts for special occasions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or bakery setting.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on GF techniques and food preparation.
- Familiarity with food handling safety regulations.
- Proficient in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, and ovens.
- Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair for GF dessert presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
