Lot Service Porter

Overview
The Service Porter plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the dealership environment. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the movement and management of motorcycles. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for delivering a positive experience to customers and fellow peers. This is a great opportunity for the individual that wants to become a motorcycle technician.

Responsibilities

• Help meet and greet customers upon arrival and provide assistance as needed.
• Safely park and retrieve motorcycles, ensuring proper handling of both motorcycles and trikes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including cleaning parts for technicians, setting up the bikes on the lift and light disassembly when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area by sweeping floors, dumping trash, cleaning up work stations and organizing shop equipment and tools.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure clear understanding of service needs.
• Provide support to service technicians by moving motorcycles in and out of the shop as directed.
• Uphold dealership standards for customer service and hospitality at all times.
• Assist in overall organization of the shop floor to help maintain productivity goals of the service department.
• Loading motorcycles onto a trailer for pickup or delivery. Must be familiar with driving a pickup truck and how to hook up a trailer, park a trailer and loading specifics for tie downs to secure motorcycles.
• Candidates MUST have a clean driving record.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment is preferred.
• Basic mechanical abilities and attributes are preferred but not required.
• Experience with valet parking or hospitality roles is advantageous.
• Ability to operate motorcycles is preferred but not required, a class M license is beneficial and preferred.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service in all interactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
