Certification Details BLS ACLS Arrhythmia NIHSS Job Details The Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital, a tertiary care teaching hospital, is seeking experienced nurses for a unique nursing role. The ED Inpatient (EDIP) RN will be responsible for providing care for emergency department patients that are admitted and awaiting bed placement within the hospital. The EDIP RN will provide care for a diverse patient population that are both inpatient and observation class within the Emergency Department. Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN degree required; ASN / ADN RNs with relevant experience may be considered. Current Connecticut RN license required prior to start date. 3 years of recent medical-surgical, float pool or comparable acute care experience strongly preferred. BLS certification by American Heart Association and proof of arrhythmia certification required prior to date of hire. Schedule Information Assignments are given in 4-hour blocks based upon census / acuity needs. Must accommodate working your contracted 36 hours each week of the contract. We do not offer block schedules as a standard, but can often accommodate some scheduling needs. Additional Details 12 / 06 / 2024 0208 USMST Tracy Hespelt ED Boarder - RN Emergency Department Inpatient RN Specialty : Med / Surg, Cardiology, Neuro, & Trauma ED Inpatient & Observation boarders. Specialty Skills Exams are a 1-time pass / fail – if failed contract will be terminated. Scrub Color : Royal Blue will allow black bottoms.
