Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to oversee our hotel’s dining operations, with a strong emphasis on mixology and elevated dining service. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in crafting unique cocktails, curating exceptional wine and beverage programs, and ensuring an elevated guest dining experience. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, quality, and service excellence.

The Food & Beverage Manager will manage alongside the other F B Manager to successfully execute the daily operation of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets- primarily the L-bar, Vivo Restautant, Room Service, and our Concierge lounge. This position also is a support for our on property licensed Starbucks inside the hotel. Ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of F&B Management and experience, preferably in a hotel. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Job Description |Requirements

  • 3 years of Food & Beverage Management experience required.
  • Hotel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ensure compliance with all Marriott and Waterford policies and procedures with respect to the Food & Beverage department, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

  • Leading, coaching and developing associates in all areas of the Food & Beverage department.

  • Train and mentor staff in mixology techniques, wine pairing, and high-end service standards.

  • Extensive knowledge of Beverage and Food steps of service, food quality, and consistency.
  • Develop and implement innovative beverage programs, including craft cocktails, premium wine selections, and specialty drinks.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design complementary food and beverage pairings.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide real time feedback, and oversee staff scheduling.
  • Conduct daily pre-shifts to ensure seamless communication to the team.
  • Manage inventory, labor and cost control.
  • Identify guest needs, and respond proactively to all concerns.
  • Strong motivation and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication, follow up, and accountability skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Organization and time management skills.
  • Must be able to coordinate and execute with the team a fine dining experience for any private events held in our private dining room.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs, and financial reporting (Microsoft Office 365, Restaurant Management software, such as Toast)
  • Must be able to maintain a structured daily and deep cleaning schedule.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • ServSafe and TIPS Certification necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • You must be able to pass a thorough background check as well as be drug free.
