What You Will Be Doing
The Night Audit Supervisor is the face of the hotel and plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, positive, and seamless guest experience. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and assisting with guest inquiries while delivering outstanding customer service that aligns with Marriott and Waterford Hotel Group's high standards.
Job Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor. Make a personal connection with each guest. Handle late check ins, early check outs, and guest inquires.
Perform the night audit process by reconciling and balancing daily financial transactions, ensuring all charges (rooms, taxes, incidentals) are posted correctly.
Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations as needed.
Accurately process payments, including cash, credit cards, and Marriott Bonvoy points.
Generate nightly reports such as revenue, occupancy, and departmental performance to support management decisions.
Review guest billing to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Guest Services & Satisfaction:
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies
- Adress guest inquires, handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Review upcoming groups, and special requirements for all.
- Monitor the mobile dashboard to send mobile keys prior to arrival time.
- Constant monitoring of the Guest Service experience platform for guest needs, respond and resolve within the brand standard allotted time. Review all Ambassador Elite Member arrivals
Ensure all requests for wake-up calls, transportation, or special accommodations are fulfilled.
Team Supervision:
Supervise the night audit team, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Handle the delegation of tasks, ensuring each team member completes their duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist in the hiring, training, and development of new staff members.
Evaluate and provide feedback on the performance of night audit staff.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors in all areas of the hotel to ensure smooth operations.
Follow all Marriott and Waterford brand standards, policies, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Hotel experience is required
- FSPMS experience is preferred
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy
- Must be able to stay alert during the overnight shift (typically 11p-7a)
- Must be able to pass a background check and be drug free
